Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to the design team in their duties and perform tasks as required to develop experience in designing systems that fall within the MEP discipline
- Production of drawings and other design information under the direction of Engineers
- Develop skills to undertake M&E calculations for various service packages such as; ventilation, heating and cooling, domestic water, drainage, lighting, fire alarm and access control
- Develop skills using industry recognised software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, EDSL TAS and MEPworx
- Demonstrate problem-solving ability and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Capable of effectively communicating with colleagues and external parties such as Clients, Architects, and Project Managers
- Visiting live construction sites with Engineers to perform visual inspections and gain a better understanding of installed services
- Day release to a further education facility to undertake an ONC/HNC in building services (subject to existing qualifications) with the possibility of progressing onto degree level qualification
Requirements
- Full driving license or provisional driving license with the intention of passing in the next 12 months
- GCSE grades 9 – 4 (A – C)
