Higher Apprenticeship
We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop practical skills, gain hands-on experience, and build a rewarding career in a growing business. This role allows you to earn while you learn, combining workplace experience with formal study. You will attend college one day per week to complete a HNC or HND qualification, with the potential to progress onto a degree, while taking part in the Harniss Training Scheme. This programme provides structured exposure across key areas, including:
- Pre-Construction – How projects are planned and prepared, including site surveys and risk assessment.
- Energy and Sustainability – Applying sustainable principles in real-world projects.
- Design – Practical experience in technical design, problem-solving, and drafting.
- Project Management – Coordinating and delivering projects successfully.
- Commercial – Understanding the financial and commercial aspects of the business.
The scheme gives a strong technical foundation and insight into the wider business, helping you make informed decisions about your future career. At the end of the programme, you will work with your manager to choose the role that best matches your skills, interests, and ambitions, ensuring the next step in your career is the right fit. Join Harniss and build a rewarding technical career within a supportive, forward-thinking team. You don’t need to attend university to achieve a recognised qualification and gain valuable workplace experience. This route allows you to avoid student debt while building a strong foundation for a successful career.
