This annual project incorporates various large secondary schools across the Greenwich, London (Thomas Tallis and Crown Woods).  Being acutely aware of energy use and the importance of managing consumption, Harniss conducts annual reviews of the operational energy use, with Displayed Energy Certificates (DECs).

Our consultancy practice with our accredited Energy assessors review this information alongside visual inspections to schedule and note ongoing measures to reduce and improve energy use.

Further works included investigating the merits of new gas fired Combined Heat and Power (CHP’s) systems, Biomass, Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP), Photovoltaic solar panel arrays and replacement lighting upgrades to low energy fittings with sensor controls.

All contributing to the programmed planning for future energy conservation and to meet their year-on-year reduction commitments.
