Advanced Apprenticeship
Harniss Contracting are currently looking for hard working individuals who would like to join our Harniss Apprenticeship scheme and train to become a level 2 qualified plumber. During this advanced apprenticeship, you will be sponsored to attend college one day a week while spending the rest of your time learning from one of our excellent site supervisors gaining “on-the-job” experience. If University or Sixth Form isn’t for you then join our team and earn as you learn.
Responsibilities
Your job could include the installation, maintenance, commissioning and servicing of commercial plumbing and heating systems and equipment, including:
- Showers, baths and sinks
- Drainage pipes, plastic and copper water pipes
- Heating systems fuelled by gas boilers, heat pumps and more.
Other tasks that you may be asked to carry out include:
- Detecting leaks
- Problem solving
- Clearing away debris
- Cleaning and maintaining tools
Requirements
- Full driving license or provisional driving license with the intention of passing in the next 12 months *preferred*
- A willingness to learn
- Personal responsibility and resilience
- “Hands on” practical skills and spatial awareness
- Team player that focuses on contributing to, and optimising, the team output
- Keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail with a methodical approach
